Jim started Jarvis Remodeling in Boise in 1991. More than 500 remodels later, it's still family owned, and the number on this site rings his phone.
When you choose a contractor: they have testimonies or past work they can show you; have experience in the trade; don't just have a fancy website.

Jim saved our old house. 1907 Queen Anne in the North End, fire in March 2023 which required a full gut job. Previous drywaller did the most horrendous work. Jim came in like a guardian angel, had it all ripped out, and put it back up in a week. Professional, incredibly detail-oriented, and excellent communicator. Everything you want but don't get in other contractors. Highly recommend.
Communication, dependability and finished product all consistently exceed expectations, and they are also just great people who are fun to work with.
It depends on the job. Most full bathroom remodels take 4 to 6 weeks. Jim goes over timing with you when he walks the space.
Usually not. Some rooms will be off limits for a while, and Jim tells you which ones before work starts.
Yes. We pull the permits and set up the inspections. We manage the job from permits to installation.
It depends on the size of the space and the finishes you pick. After Jim walks it with you, you get a written bid. The consultation and the bid are free.
No. Bring photos you like, or nothing at all. Jim helps you sort out layout, materials and fixtures when he walks the space.
